Hello
Some of you may know i rescued 2 3yr old musk turtles about 6 weeks ago, i took both to the vet and they appeared to be in good health however the boy has continued to swell around his legs. I took him to the vet who said he was eating too much protein (he is a hoarder! collects all the shrimp, sits on it and eats it) so he was put on a diet. Looking at him this evening and im not happy with the way he looks at all. He looks slightly bigger to me. He's in at the vet first thing in the morning but im worried about him. The girl is absolutely fine, no problems but my boy is getting fat. He is fine in himself, still his normal swimming around, drinking, jumping off the basking spot and doing it again self. Any ideas what could be wrong with him?

Has the swelling gotten worse? If it is a weight issue, there's not much you can do except drastically cut down on protein.
