Hello all
I am back in this site after some . My turtle is well .
Rarely I get lettuce in my place and I feed him when ever I get . Remaining time I give him Reptomin. He generally likes both and eats well. Two days back I saw water filled with small pieces of lettuce that too a lot . Then I thought he might have thrown up. then my turtle looked little lethargic. I changed water immediately . He was ok next day. Today I again saw a little amount of lettuce pieces in water and again he is lethargic. What this would be? As I have never seen this issue , please let me know if I need to do some thing. Other than being lethargic every thing else is fine.
Thanks. Ramesh

Is it possible you are giving too much or your turtle is eating it too quickly?

Thanks for the reply. About the quantity of food , I got the suggestions from this site and i follow them. My res is 2 and half years old and almost 7 to 8 inches . We give him 8 to 9 pieces of reptomin . He generally eats quick from the beginning. So we give one pellet after one . Instead giving whole quantity once. This throwing up is started 4 days back. He threw up 10% of food today also. He is basking a lot . He used interact with us a lot . Now it is reduced .He knows the food container . If he sees the container in our hand, he is getting into water slowly and his begging is reduced to almost 30% than how he used to be . Can this throwing lead to any major issue? Please let me know . Thanks .

So he's throwing up Reptomin and lettuce? Is there anything else in the vomit? I think you need to take him to a vet. Throwing up lettuce is one thing, but it sounds like he's having a hard time keeping it down. Is he pooping normally?

He is not throwing reptomin but lettuce . Mostly he is basking . Yesterday he didnt eat. We found that water was stinking badly. We are changing water after he throws up. In one day after water change , water was stinking badly . We don't have a vet here who can treat turtles. If you have any. Suggestion please let me know . Thanks

Maybe stop feeding lettuce it pretty much has no nutritional value. You can try feeding in a separate container in case he throws up. What is the temperature of your water?

How big is the tank? What is the filter like?

Aquarium water shouldn't stink, and particularly it shouldn't stink that quickly after a water change. Is it possible there's a dead fish or something hidden under a rock?
