shell rot (ouch!)
once i took skipper to the vet in the winter because she wasn't eating(it turns out the water was a little cold), and she said skipper had shell rot. so itook her home and did treatments for a few months twice a day. this spring and summer were soooo busy, i didn't have time to do treatments AT ALL!!!
i recently saw a pic of a turtle with SEVERE shell rot and i got scared into doing treatments again. so i picked her up and did the treatment, all the while she bit anything close to her head! she nearly got my thumb! she used to be kinda 'sweet' and not bite so much. she is also frantic to get out of her dry dock bin, she used to be calm! is she more agressive because of lack of handling or pain? how can i make her 'sweet' again?
