I have a cooter of some sort that i am unsure of. Last night he was normal. He has uva and heat. this morning he climbed out of his tank and got carpet fuzz all in his mouth. Now he swims with his tail in and the back of his shell up. He opened his mouth for a bit and some carpet fuzz came out but Im sure there is more because he keeps his mouth open under water like he wants to throw up. I dry docked him and will hydrate him every three hours. Will that help him? Hes about 5 inches long. please help

hes swimming normal now and the fuzz is all gone but his tail area is pinkish.

I'd be extra vigilant about scooping out his poop and check that it's normal.
