So I have 2 RES living in the same aquarium together. 3 days ago I realized that one of the RES has both his eyes swollen. I've looked up what maybe the problem and I realized that it maybe due to the lack of a good diet, Vitamin A deficiency. I've been feeding them just pellets and dried shrimps and i've ran out of pellets a week ago and just been feeding them dried shrimp. So today I tried giving Broccoli and carrots. The healthy RES seems to be taking very little interests in them, she would sometimes actually eat it and other times bite into it and spit it out and ignore it.
So my questions are
1)Do they need some time to get use to eating greens and thats why shes rejecting them?
2) What are some treatments that I can do for the RES with swollen eyes ? I cannot take it to a vet , none nearby. I plan to look for eye drops when I go to a pet store for more pellets
3) Is there any way to get the RES with swollen eyes to eat? His eyes are always closed and hasnt been eating anything
4) Can I transfer the RES to a separate container when feeding so it's easier to clean? It was a pain to take out the leftover greens from the aquarium.
