I noticed that my red eared slider (Jellybean) recently started getting some shiny white spots on his shell. There's no one particular spot. Rather it's everywhere in random patches. What's going on? It looks like shedding to me but I'm not too sure :(

Jellybean is about 3-4 inches. Almost two years old. Lives in a 20 gallon tank with a filtration system. Temperature of the water is 84 F and basking rock is 95 F. He has a UVB and a basking light. His diet consists of pellets, greens (too many to list), carrots, occasional sweet potato and fruit, 10 rosy red minnows once a month.

I have some pictures of how his shell looks. Sorry for the blurry ones! He swims too quickly haha

You can see at the bottom of the image how his white spot is metallic/shiny looking

Look like shedding. If you can, post a pic of the shell when it's dry. It looks like he's getting a bit too much food and you'd probably want to upgrade his habitat soon. Is he definitely a male?
