How big is your turtle?: 4" - give or take more
How long have you had it?: A couple months now

What is the water temperature?: 75-78
Did you use a thermometer?: Yes
Are you using a water heater?: Yes
How much water is in there?: Halfway 20 gallons?
Are you using a water conditioner?: No
Are you using any filtration?: Yes

What is the basking temperature?: 90
Is there a basking light?: Yes
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on?: Yes
What kind is it or what is it made out of?: Plastic?
Is there a UVB light?: Yes, a light bulb

What have you been trying to feed it?: Turtle pellets and Red Leaf Lettuce - Lately it has been pellets though
When was the last time your turtle ate?: Just now, (currently 1:30am - fed them at 12:30am)

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure?: I'm guessing around 15 gallons
Is the tank near a window?: Yes, but not directly in front of it
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity?: Not much, I am working on getting a bigger tank

Have you read the Basic Care section? Yes
Have you searched the forums for similar situations? Yes

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms? No, everything is mentioned below

I am very worried and quite unsure what I should do. I have attached the photos below.
The bigger one has a deeper, darker reddish/pink shell. He has a very small case of shell fungus, which has been slowly getting better (I've been using antibacterial soap + letting them walk around for about 1hr). The smaller one has a lighter pink hue to her shell, and I noticed today that one of her nails has been taken off? I'm not sure how or when this happened, but I just noticed it today.

Please let me know what I should do. I read in some places that blood poisoning (septicemia) shows in very red, very raw lesion?

I really need help and whether or not I should bring them to the vet.
Thanks,

It doesn't look like Septicemia. What are they walking around on?

I have them walking on cement flooring, just to keep them away and secluded from the other pets. It's worth mentioning that these photos were taken after they had their little walk about.

Then I guess this is from bruising/irritation from the floor. How much are you feeding them? Is it possible you're overfeeding?

HM, possibly? I find them 12 pellets, so 6 each. And I feed them 1x in the mornings.

Have you been able to sex them yet? If they are 4", then you should be able to. You are looking at a pretty significant upgrade as well, which is overdue.

I have not been able to sex the smallest one yet. The bigger one, I am trying, but I'm meeting a little difficulty in that.
What do you mean by upgrade? I don't quite understand what is overdue...the tank?

Upgrade in tank size and filtration. The normal recommendation is 10 gallons of tank per inch of shell.

I understand. As money is very tight right now, I am trying to keep my current tank as clean as possible and hopefully, in 2 weeks, I can introduce a 75 gallon tank for the babies. I might as well buy a big one now, as opposed to gradually increasing the tank.

Look around to see if you have something that can be used to hold water, like a storage container. A turtle habitat does not have to start as a glass tank. Keep your eyes open on craigslist too, there are many good used tanks out there. Glass tanks also usually resell well, so upgrading is not always painful.
