Sal has two or three spots on his top shell where it looks like the scoot is trying to flake off, or a blister with water under neath it. I dont think i am doing a good job of describing this. I will add a picture

He is probably just shedding his scutes, are they very thin and translucent? And is his shell hard under them or soft?
If they are thin and his shell is hard under then he is shedding , my 10 year old is in the process of shedding right now as well, make sure he gets his red lettuce.
lol my kids have those same christmas stickers.....

Cheers

Yup, sounds like shedding to me too. Just leave 'em alone they will shed when they're ready.

I am pretty sure it is just his scoots peeling and i am being an overly nervous turtle mommy. He has been behaving normally, and the shell underneath where it is translucent is hard. I will be sure to pick up some red lettuce at the store when we go tonight.

It's good that it's translucent. Hopefully it won't take too long either.
