The vet i brought my turtle to apparently has no experience with turtles although the hospital looks at turtles... and he prescribed Michael Angelo (RES) Baytril for Respiratory Infection becasue i told him that he wheezes and has whistling sounds coming from his nose. HOWEVER, he injected Baytril in front of his rear legs which, after some research found that it's bad for the turtle and can cause kidney damage.

I read that it's best to inject it near? the front legs. But I'm not sure where. Do i inject it between his face and front legs? And if so how?
ALSO, he told my to do it EVERYDAY for 4 more days. ----> So because he has no experience with turtles, I am hesitant to take his advice.

DO I Inject him with Baytril everyday or every other day?? And Where near the front legs do I inject it and how?

I tried looking on youtube for videos, but there aren't any for RES... PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi. MAybe you could request some meds that can be taken orally? How big is your turtle? I had experience dealing with RI and Baytril, but it's not injected.

I'd get a second opinion. Dosages vary depending on the treatment schedule and size of turtle.

I just recently went through RI with my 10 year old res and my Vet recommended Baytril given orally because of the necronic damage as well as risk to kidneys.I do believe Baytril oral dosages are the same as injected dosages just a longer term (8 days vice 4 days ) It can be tricky to get him to open up for the bitter taste of the Baytrill but what worked for me was to stand him almost vertical tilted just forward with his legs near the floor and that instinctively makes him extend his legs and neck enough to coax him to open his mouth with a toothpick. Some other have had success with injecting worms like here:
