My red eared slider male, Mr. T has developed brown spots on his skin over the past 24 hours. One spot is under his chin near his mouth and looks like the skin has rotted away in a small spot. I also see spots on his feet and a small spot on his neck. See pics.

How big is your turtle?
About 5"-6" shell.

How long have you had it?
7-8 years.

What is the water temperature?
About 77F.

Did you use a thermometer?
Yes.

Are you using a water heater?
Yes.

How much water is in there?
About 35 gallons (37 gallon tank).

Are you using a water conditioner?
No.

Are you using any filtration?
Yes. Rena XP.

What is the basking temperature?
Currently none.
Due to remodeling/construction tank was relocated for 1.5 weeks. Basking area/heatlamp/UVB lamp was not set up during that time. and there was no option for Mr. T to leave the water. Afterward, tank was restored to prior location and basking area restored. However heatlamp was discovered broken during reinstallation.
To reiterate:
16 days without a heat lamp.
11 or 12 days without Mr. T leaving the water (no basking option).
After 12th day basking area restored. Change to UVB source is made: retired use of ZooMEd Reptisun 5.0 Compact Flourescent UVB bulb for Reptisun 5.0 fluorescent tube (about 10" above basking area). Mr. T leaves the water to bask, but without heatlamp present.

Is there a basking light?
Until 16 days ago there was a 100 watt ceramic infrared lamp.

Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on?
Yes.

Plexiglass ramp with small stone siliconed on for traction leading to large plexiglas platform.

Yes, see above.

What have you been trying to feed it?
ZooMed Aquatic Turtle Food Maintenance Formula (staple).
Romaine lettuce.
Occasional treats of carrot, red pepper.
Feeder fish once a week/week and a half.
Some dried shrimp treats.
A touch of banana here and there.
Cuttlebone.

When was the last time your turtle ate?
He eats everyday. No eating issues.

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure?
37 gallons.

Is the tank near a window?
It's placed on the window sill.

Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity?
Fair amount (kitchen).

Have you read the Basic Care section?
Yes.

Have you searched the forums for similar situations?
Yes.

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms?
No. Mr. T is excited and exuberant to have his tank set back up in its usual location. He's appears very happy. No unusual behavior.

I will be leaving town for several weeks later today. Roommate will be caring for Mr. T. I'd appreciate any input and suggestions on how best to diagnose and treat this condition so I can take measures to direct the cure.
Thanks a bunch.

It looks more like injuries/callouses though very hard to tell. The shell looks a bit beaten up too, when was the last time he shed? If he did develop these in 24 hours then I would take him to a vet just to rule anything out.

Thanks. I'm off now to catch a flight. More later.
I do not think it is an injury.
