Just got three baby turtles from the North american reptile breeders conference. Two red ear sliders and one yellow belly slider. I picked out the ones that seemed really active and brought them home to my 55 gallon tank that I had got for them. I setup the basking area with powersun 100 watt lamp. They seem really happy and are actively swimming around, basking and exploring. One of them ( the smallest one ) that we named Red has this little spot on his belly. Now I am assuming that it is the yolk sack but it has me worried. It's kind of like skin hanging from his belly when he swims and it's soft when i touch it and looks like it's peeling. I am posting pictures of it here hoping that it's just a yolk sack and nothing serious. He seems really active and friendly. All replies would be greatly appreciated. thank you

That is where the sac is being reabsorbed but I'm not completely experienced in this area. Hopefully someone will chime in, but I would just keep an eye on it.

The sack came off, I found it at the bottom of my tank. The turtle is eating healthy and basking quite active! I'm so relieved :)
