Does it go away when the legs are stretched out? Looks like it could be a bit of fat, what's the diet like?

It moves easily and it is very fast and active all the day (except the sleeping time of course) .... It eats about 10 ones (small spheres) of the turtles food which I bought from the shop, daily.

Is it like that on both sides? How does the front look like? Any change in behavior?

Is the front "thick"? Can you post a picture of that and the top of the shell. We might get some clues if it's overfeeding.

My impression is that the turtle is chubby, though an illness could cause swelling too. What are you feeding Migha?

I agree. He looks like he is a little chubby, especially if the bulge goes away when the legs are outstretched.
Try feeding an amount that is about the size of the head (or even half as much). Pellets every other day is sufficient, and try tossing in some veggies.

Many thanks Penelope, but if I want him to eat fresh meat or a living fish, in that day, should I stop feeding him the turtles food ??

I would say to give one or the other.
Pellets are a good source of protein, so they should be used as part of a well-rounded diet (protein and dark greens).
The veggie to pellet ratio depends on the age.
Fish, meat fruit and certain types of greens should only be given occasionally as a treat. What is the definition of "occasionally"? well, I'm still trying to figure that out :)

The nutrition page on the main site has lots of good info.

Also, the Feeding and Nutrition forum pages have a ton of discussions that might help.
