I don't know what to do my turtle keeps thrashing around swimming against the tank and splashing water all over and trying to climb out of the tank she has had some unfertilized eggs before but I don't know what to do about her she is driving my mom crazy. sometimes when she is acting up ill turn the light off and if she keeps doing it I cover the tank with a light towel but nothing is working she just keeps climbing out. literally she will stand on a rock in the bottom of the tank and stand on her back legs and try and get out

I don't know what to do please help

She might be hungry, change of the setup or gravid.

I have tried feeding her but she doesn't eat I have feed her the turtle pellets and the veggie sticks but she doesn't seem to wanna eat :/

I suspect that she is gravid.

Did you switch anything around? Take away currents, change setup or move anything around?

that tank is WAY too small. think of living in a very smal confined space, you would go crazy too. that turtle should be in a 100 gallon tank minimum.

Does she thrash around when no one is there? How long ago did she lay eggs?

My turtle (myrtle the turtle) laid her eggs last April I believe and I don't know if she trashes around when we're not here she just does it all the time and it drives my mom crazy and annoys my mom :/

It's tough to say what's going on with the info provided. It's either begging or being gravid. Is she an aggressive eater? Have you tried feeling for eggs?

Myrtle (my turtle) usually eats a lot and usually splashes like this when she's hungry but she won't eat we went out and bought a different kind of food at petsmart but she still wont eat it. I have turned the light off like I do when she isn't acting normal and misbehaving but she keeps doing it so I covered her tank with a large towel she keeps doing it usually the towel makes her stop :/ I don't really wanna feel her for eggs if I don't have to

I tried taking the turtle out of the tank and have her walk around on the floor because she use to do that all the time so I went to grab her and she wouldn't even let me pick her up

When she's thrashing around, is she looking at you? Does she respond to you?
