How big is your turtle? 5"
How long have you had it? 6 months

What is the water temperature?78
Did you use a thermometer? yes
Are you using a water heater? yes
How much water is in there? 45 - 50 gallons
Are you using a water conditioner? no
Are you using any filtration? yes

What is the basking temperature? 90
Is there a basking light? yes
Is there a basking platform that is easy to climb on? Yes
What kind is it or what is it made out of? Basalt , and drift wood
Is there a UVB light? Yes

What have you been trying to feed it? Leaf Lettuce, Wheat germ pellets, Jello Shots, guppies in the tank
When was the last time your turtle ate? yesterday

How big is the tank/pond/enclosure? 55 gallon
Is the tank near a window? no
Is the tank in a room with a lot of activity? no

Have you read the Basic Care section? yes
Have you searched the forums for similar situations?

Is there any other unusual activity/symptoms?
She is not as active as usual, just sitting still on land or in the water with her mouth open and doesn't ever pull her head all the way in her shell.

I would take her to a vet to have it check it out ASAP.

Update:
Hester now has a mucus with a red tint coming from her mouth. No vet will see her till monday. Any ideas what i can do to help till monday?

Got another filter and a quarantine tank at the $1 per gallon sale and I have them separated now. Going to try and entice her to eat some of her fave turtle treats. Brine shrimp.

How is she doing? Any change in symptoms? If there are no signs of improvement, I would have a vet see her.

A guppy was extracted from her throat. She is good.
