help on turtle eyes

i have a young map turtle in one of my tanks, i didnt get him from the best of pet shops but i thought id save him until he got severely ill !
hes all healthy and good now other than one of his eyes... one is absolutely fine, but the other one always seems to be closed or very slitty.
its not puffy or sore or anything.
i cnt get a good enough picture of him as he darts around every where as i try taking one! any ideas?
