Urgent Care :: turtle having tumor like bump on neck

my turtle suddenly showed a solid bump on the back of its neck,due to this it can't pull its neck back into the shell.it eats,swims normally.totally active.but its huge bump worries me.please view the picks from the link & suggest.

Is that an Indian tent turtle?
It does look like a tumor of some sort. I would have a vet look at that.

Was it a herp vet? Is it in distress? Is the bump hard or soft?

the bump is hard like a button.the vet ws frm the city zoo.d head of d vet docs in zoo.in the zoo they have turtles also.

he is eating well & active.can't slide in its head in d shell due to the bump.

Have they tried an X-ray?

If it's hard then it's probably some type of fleshy tumor. A vet will be needed to surgically remove it and put the turtle on a course of antibiotics afterward.
