Hi guys

I am new to this so please bare with me but I have read all of the stuff about the turtles but smth is not right about the turtles that I have gotten few days ago.

Anyhow I have two YBS hatching from a pet store not long ago and one of them is fine, the other one not so well. It always stay inside the water n corner itself just above the suction pipe and it doesn't bask much at ALL.
Recently I found out that it has a white lump on one side of his face/neck area.... and it starts to show on top of its neck as well.

I do not know what went wrong, as I have the right food, water/ bask temperature, area for them to swim, good filter system.
I have also read tonnes of information about the turtles habitat and I really put much effort into them as now I don't know what to do the fact that this YBS always stay at the corner and swim, while the other one is very active.

Any answer would be much appreciated

Thanks

Sounds like ear abscess. Here are some pictures:

if is ear abscess are there any ways to cure it? any medicine that I can purchase from the petstore? But the white lump is not as serious as the one shown on the picture.

I can't tell much from the picture, but it could be fungus instead of an abscess.

I'd do two things... try a little treatment and bring his tank up to standards. For treatment, dry dock him for a couple of days. You can use a warm, quiet and dry area (like a large box or container) and apply some diluted betadine and neosporin on his cheek. He can be placed in the water a few times a day to swim, drink and eat. With his tank, use a different substrate or none at all. Use a dock or make one and increase the water levels. Cuttlebone needs the backing removed. Do you have a heater? A UVB lamp? A thermometer?
