My RES is 7 years old. Recently he has been biting the seals on the inside of the tank. He completely dislodges the one corner and has gotten a good portion of the other corner off. He bites it then spits it out. I have never scene him do this before and it recently started last week. Any advise how to stop this or why he is doing this?

There is no easy solution to this. Some people are adding sand to help cover the seals. Mine bit the seals so much that I had to reseal it recently. Keep the tank clean too, I think when algae grows on it, it makes it more appetizing.
