Hey guys Kelly here, I've got a few questions about my RES she tends to have a little biting problem. When I take her out of her tank to roam around, she immediately tries to bite me. When I am holding her, she'll try her hardest to bite one of my fingers or any other part of my hand. Sometimes when she's roaming around she'll try and bite my Pomeranian whom out of curiosity tries to sniff and play with her (he's harmless), and once she bit the tip of his nose. She bites any object in her way, and I'm 100% positive she's not just hungry because I feed her and my other turtle well. Any advice on why she's so aggressive outside the tank? She doesn't act like this with the other turtle while inside the tank.

It seems like it's just based on personality. I'm not sure what you can do to try and change it, hopefully she will just mellow out a bit. It's not unusual for them to always act hungry, try to resist their begging if you can.

They bite, it's normal. Try not to handle her too much. When I first got my RES he'd bite outside the water when he was pissed off. Now he tries to bite in the water b/c he thinks i have food.
