I have a RES he was in an outdoor pond but due to the weather turning cold my two heaters have not been able to keep the water outside higher then 60. So with this I have made a what I feel is a nice indoor tank set up. Ok to the point my RES has been in doors now for a little over a week and I have the tank water at a very nice 78 to 80 and I have a UVB bulb as well as a UVA heat basking bulb that gives Rhino an area of about 94 to 95. With this he has feeder fish in the tank and a very nice omnivore mix food from the pet store. In the last week I have not seen him take one bite of food nor has any of the fish been eaten. I understand that due to the cold water outside that may have started his hibernation systems but since coming inside I thought he would have snapped out of it. PLEASE help I don't know what to do other then not eating I am not seeing any other issues from him and in all reality I don't know when the last time he ate really is since he was in a pond. Any tricks out there to jump start him eating again or do I just wait and see this is my 8 year old turtle and I don't want to have to tell him Rhino is gone. I already had to tell him the 2nd turtle was taken away by a hawk and no i am not joking it came in and grabbed him and took off like a bat out of he!!. I add pellets to the water and have a food dish on the dry dock and nothing.
