Recently my turtle shed her shell. It was brown and when it shed, there was healthy green shell underneath, thats shiny. Today I looked closely at her shell and I saw an orange spot. It looks flaky amd superficial. Its completely orange, no other color. I dont know what it is though and its worrying me. It doesnt look unhealthy, but Im still wondering what it is since it wasnt there yesterday. Im always looking at my turtle close up so I would have noticed it before if it would have been there. Any ideas on what it could be?

Do you have a picture? Is there any odor and is the shell hard underneath? Is this only in the spot where the scutes had shed? When you say spot, about how big is that?

I dont have a camera that can take a clear picture of it. My turtle is just too small. No, there is no odor and the shell looks and feels fine underneath. The orange flake is superficial. The spot/flake is small and right on top of one of the outer scutes on the top of her shell.
