I read another post that said take the turtle to the vet to see if there was an egg inside it and there wasnt but one is still on the bottom of the tank, is it possible for it to hatch?
I have 8 cats at my house, 1 dog, 1 fish, and 2 RES turtles, what more could I want?

Is the RES housed by herself or with another male turtle? If she is alone, then the egg is no good nomatter where it was laid. Turtles will lay infertile eggs, just like chickens do. Eggs laid in the water are no good. You should set up a nesting site in case there are more to be laid. How did the vet check her for eggs?
