Thanks ! These are my first water turtles so I'm new to the whole thing , I'm more in the fish area but my daughter begged and begged for turtles lol she loves them to death so I want to be sure they're around for the long run

The second pic seems to be fungus. If it's more whitish than golden in color, then I would lean towards that.

There's a mixture , white spots then gold spots. I did about a 30% water change today to get all the gross stuff out , their shedding seems to have calmed down a bit, not as bad . I'd like to start getting stuff for their tank , I took the rocks out , would sand be fine for them ?

Yes, mystic white 2 pool filter sand looks real nice in tanks. But I just like white sand.

There could be fungus and shedding at the same time. Most captive RES have problems shedding, and fungus has been a growing problem.

Thanks for the link ! I'll have to look around and find some sand !

My biggest concern is the fungus , I'll have to search on how to take care of that . their shedding has calmed down which makes me thrilled still some but its not horrible . unfortunately the closets vet near me for reptiles is almost two hours away ;__; its such a down side to living in a small town.
