If I had a room that I could let her loose in I would, but there isn't one that she couldn't disappear in. All of our rooms have something that I can't move that she could dart under. I have a big tote that I could put her in, but I don't have anything that I could use as a substrate. I know that when I put them in the tub while I am doing tank maintenance they go nuts trying to dig their way out so I don't know if having something for them to dig in would help ease the stress or not. I could do that though and attach the lamp to add some light and heat if it would help. All that I have in the house are packing peanuts and I would think that's a bad idea, but I could try to run to the pet store for some coconut fiber substrate if it is worth a try.

I think they need to fulfill the need to find the perfect spot to lay eggs.. could you let her walk around your bathroom with the door shut?? is there a way to maybe put a ramp up to tub and substrate?? What about peat moss, would that work?? its pretty cheap.. It sounds like from what I read if everything works out ok she will lay them eventually in the tank if she has too.. I am just thinking if she could walk and pace a bit it may help things move along.. It helps with other pregnant species including humans..lol
