About 30 days ago, I was cleaning the tank. I placed Shelldon in a grey plastic tub that I usually place her in when I clean the tank. The week before, she had gotten out so I filled it with less water than usual. However, she still got out and scraped her head. The skin was peeled back but still attached. I put her back in the tank, and after a day, the skin was fused back, though it left a mark. It has been 30 days. THough the skin is still fused, with no signs of loosening, I can still see the border where the skin was originally peeled, and it is slightly lighter in color, leaving a visible "mark". I've talked to a vet, and he said that though he could not really know for sure without looking at it, it didn't seem like anything to worry about. I have talked with several pet store and vet consultants and they all say not to worry. I'm still worried though even though there is no redness, swelling or any change in behavior. Will this "mark" eventually go away?

Hopefully it will. Pretty hard to tell if it has sicknesses, probably not RI. One of my turtles got hurt and a few days later symptoms of RI appeared. He's out of pain now.

I'm not noticing any change in behavior or other symptoms of an RI. She is eating, swimming and basking with her usual vigor and without any lopsidedness to it, nor do I see any coughing, sneezing or nose bubbles.
Obviously if further symptoms occur than that will be a whole separate problem that will require the attention of a vet. I'm more worried about whether or not the scrape itself is healing properly, since its been around a month... Will that mark just go away or be shed? I'm not exactly familiar with turtle healing mechanisms since this is Shelldon's first injury
Thank you.

So do RES scrapes/cuts ETC. normally heal fully? Or do they retain slight marks for the remainder of their lives?

She's fine. I'm not sure if it will look as it did before the injury, but it could blend in more.
