My female, Squirt, has not been eating for maybe 2 weeks now. And she doesn't move. Whether its in the water or on the ledge, whereever you place her,she stays.
She is approx 14 years old. She is in a 55 gallon tank, heavy duty Magnum filter, water heater and UVA.UVB light.
I have brought her to the Vet last Friday, she got bloodwork and xray, shows nothing. Blood work shows low on many things, but thats from not eating.
Vet gave us Baytril for a week, but its been 4 days now and still no change. Looks like red spots/dots are showing on her rear legs. I took her outside yesterday for the natural sun, in a babypool, but not too much of a change, she did move on her own but looked like she was just trying to push herself away from the food.
For food, she usually get turtle pellets (auto feeder) and whatever I have in the house I feed her, usual fruits and veggies. Occasional fish from Petsmart. In fact that was the last food she readily ate, but nothing could be wrong with the fish because I have another red ear slider, Male, in another tank, and he;s very happy and healthy.
Have been trying worms and tomatos lately but has no interest.
Want to get a better water heater but waiting till I see an improvement in her that she goes in the water by herself.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Baytril can suppress appetite but I don't know she would be given if she were not ill. I'm not sure what the red it, could it be bacterial? If they are bruise-like, it might be sepsis which is very serious. Can you see if she's interested in more fish? Anything to get her to eat.

Just a couple of red dots, as shown on picture (if it came out). Her legs won't even go in her head is just down. Something tells me she's not going to make it.

Sorry to hear it. I'm surprised this did not show up on any blood work. Get her some sun and try to make her comfortable.
