Your turtle looks fine from what I can tell in the pictures. You can buy cheap clamp lights with silver hoods just about any hardware store Walmart Lowes etc. You will also want a thermometer to measure tank and basking temps. As long as your turtle is eating and playful its probably fine. It really needs a basking light over the basking area. Basking temp should be around 90°. You can also add sand anytime you like. Make sure to wash it really good before you put it in the tank. Avoid gravel! I wouldn't give it any supplements at this time. Welcome to RES!

To be honest I can't really tell what that is. Maybe someone else will know.

Shell rot is soft and smells bad. To be honest I'm on a phone and can't see the picture that well.I have never seen that on a hatchling. So like I said, I will have to let someone else chime in on this. I don't think it's anything to worry about but I would like someone with more experience with shell problems talk to you about it.

That isn't shell rot. It might be hard water build up. Try taking a soft toothbrush and gently scrubbing it. Whatever it is, if it's not soft and stinky, you are *probably* ok, but keep an eye on it.

They'll shed a thin, usually translucent later of the scute (section of the shell). It doesn't hurt and is normal. It's hard to know exactly when and how often it will happen. It's not the same for all RES.
