Hello,
Just joined the forum but I studied it thoroughly several years ago as a guest/lurker when we started down the turtle path. This is Missy; her homecoming from Petco was June 28, 2017. She's right at nine inches and lives with Junius, a 13-inch common pleco; they have been good tankmates for a long time. They just got a new home for the new year; a 6-foot 120gal with an above tank basking area, so they have full water. Their previous home was a 4-foot 90gal, but since the basking area was in tank, they only had about 60 gallons water, but we never had any problems with weekly water changes. She just basked for the first time today in her new spot (relieved- took five days), so I'm joining up to ask some questions for improving her habitat, IF I don't find them in the search.
Full disclosure: Missy belonged to daughter, but daughter graduated and married away in 2018 so Missy belongs to us now. That's okay; we have six other tanks (500gal total) with 22 fish; goldfish, cichlids, and plecos since 2015 when we first got started. Thanks!
