New and Upgrading

Hello Turtle Lovers,

I am new to this group so thank you in advance for all of your knowledge. I have had Donna for 23 years (I got her at school in 8th grade).
Donna is a RES and her whole life has been spent in a 55 gallon tank. I just bought a 120 gallon yesterday and now it's time to research everything that goes along with it so she can live her golden years in a turtle resort!

Feel free to offer any suggestions or pictures of your set ups!

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like she got a great upgrade! The things you need for a 55 gallon are what you need for the 120, just with more capacity. What are you using for a basking spot?

Thank you! We are still in research mode and slowly building this thing. I think we want to build an above tank little platform so she has more water to swim in. I read in a few places that the Fx4 would be enough for that size tank but just saw a post that it may be too small? What do you recommend for something that size?

We have gone through so many filters over the years I want to get something that will last! Same with the heater :)

The FX6 is a beast, so you will need to make sure it fits under the tank, or you are OK with it beside the tank. For a full tank, the FX6 would be the best choice.

For heaters, there are more options but these seem to be the better ones:
In tank glass - Eheim Jager, titanium - Finnex, in Line - Hydor
