Hi: I do a partial water change every week and vacuum debris (1/2 of a 55 gallon tank), I have a Marina CF60 canister filter. It's been about a month having the new canister filter and I see that my Nitrates have been pretty high (80 ppm) and my nitrites are zero. How long does this typically stay this way? High Nitrate - zero Nitrites during a cycling? When should I expect to see it level off to zero zero?
