Figure I might as well drop the typical "Hey guiz i'm new here lol" post as my first post.

I've never owned a turtle before, so to anyone reading this..
What's one thing you wish you'd known before entering the hobby? :msgreen:

Hello

It's very long term ! Turtles live 40-50 years in captivity if taken care of well. I'm still learning only been in this hobby since 1963. But it great !!!

Welcome! I never expected their care to be this complicated... but it's not so bad once you figure it out.

I would say the same thing as Steve ! ... But I'm glad I was given turtles, as an animal lover it opened my eyes on the research we all need to do before buying any kind of pets. It can be complicated but it is also a lot of fun
