hey guys, in new to the forum and fairly new to turtle keeping. I currently have two small red eared sliders that I adopted so I have been browsing the information on this forum so I decided I may as well go ahead and become a member. the two turtles are still small so I have them housed in a 40 gallon breeder tank with an overflow going to a 20 gallon tank I am attempting to plant to reduce nitrates and grow food for the turtles. any advice or criticism is welcome. thanks for the add

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you're off to a great start. What are their names? :)

I named the bigger one of the two gamera and the smaller one is spaz because he likes to spaz out when I walk by the tank lol

They look good but this will be a good time to cut back on their pellets/protein and introduce veggies. Their seams are thick, meaning they are growing too fast.

Ok thanks for the advice, should I still feed them daily or should I start feeding every other day?

You can do either. If everyday, it's gotta be a smaller amount but you can use veggies along with it.
