I am not familiar with that but Chlorohexidin does not seem effective for shell fungus. Is it shell or skin fungus?

That is the ingredient in Hibiclens.

It's also a (prescribed) mouth rinse for after a tooth extraction. I know it is used for healing, but I don't know if it should be used on turtles. I'm a nationally certified pharmacy tech, so I don't know about turtle meds, just human meds.

There are certain thing you can use it for on turtles but it should be diluted. If you do a search for Hibiclens on the forums you will find some stuff it can be used for. Nice to see another pharm tech/turtle enthusiast. ;) welcome to the forum.

Chlorohexidin is supposedly better with wounds. In the form of a mouth rinse, it might sting but might be fine for external use. I also like Hibiclens because it's a bit soapy.... good for a shell scrub and rinse.

If either if you have thoughts about dealing with shell fungus, I would love to hear your input!
