[quote]
from www.happyturtlespub.org

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing - they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carry him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then together you and your special pet cross the Rainbow Bridge.

wow and my husband thinks I am crazy when it comes to my 2 babies Groucho and Tuck, Groucho because he reminded me of Groucho Marx, don't know why lol, and my 3 yr old grandson named the baby Tuck from the wonder pets cartoons, I love all animals and I hope that my grandchildren do also, although when Groucho catches a feeder fish I hope my grandson is not around, because he gently picks up ants and places them in the grass lol
2 res

Groucho 3inch
Tuck 2inch

they are my babies

I have a 2-3 inch RES named August (Gus for short) not sure if it's male or female, but he won't know the difference. Poor thing went a week without a name before a friend of mine suggested Gus, I liked August as the official name because its the month that i bought him in.

I also have 2 dogs, a boxer named Riley & a Golden mix named Yeager (we just adopted him & he came prenamed.) All the same, I'm a pround mama of 3!

I've got two RES and for now assuming they're female, one is Chloe and the other is Lo Shen - it's Chinese for Goddess of the Rivers. I haven't had the time to get their pictures uploaded so I haven't introduced them to you all, but will do very soon.
