Hi everyone!
I'm the library director for Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. We have a river ecology program on the Hudson River in Yonkers, called the Center for the Urban River at Beczak. We adopted two red eared sliders from the Center a few years ago and are raising them in the library in a 300 gallon Rubbermaid tub. We had a naming contest and the students chose the names Buttercup and Westly based on the main characters from The Princess Bride movie. The actor who played Westly went to Sarah Lawrence College.
Buttercup and Westly are doing well but we were wondering if there are any experienced folks out there that might be willing to have a general "telehealth" session with us, via cellphone. We could use Facetime to share video of the tank and the turtles. We would love to have a pair of expert eyes look at our habitat and give advice.
Thanks so much for any contacts you might have!
