This forum has been a life saver for me. Here in India its a bit different from everywhere else...firstly these turtles are sold as "singapore turtles" and no one knows anything about how to really care for them. This forum has been a life saver for my two little turtles(yes I was a lurker for a while
) as I was able to learn about conditions and inform my vet of how to help my skittly nervous turtle Toto, while he became stronger. Both of them have the most amazingly different personalities and it has been a pleasure ensuring they are housed properly and given enough freedom to develop into interesting little turtles..
Mia will come and wake me up by knocking on my door each morning, I think she is smarter than average and retains tonnes of information.... even able to remember where she is in m parents house which is in a diferent city and find her place...and Toto will scuttle around the house in the evening and if it is a bit cold he will snuggle up in something warm is relatively smaller than Mia but is very active and a climber. It seems that Mia is female and Toto is male and so far it seems to be about right... here are a couple of pics: So hopefully I will be more active on the forums from now on and once again a warm thank you to all of you and redearslider.com for being there...you helped save toto's life 3 times so far..when he stopped eating, when he had a stomach infection and when his shell was becaoming a bit soft...Thanks sooo much!!
