Gherkin is a new turtle!
Posted: Sat Mar 27, 2010 12:50 pmI worried about my tiny Gherkin (eastern box hatchling) all winter long. But now, somehow, he knows it's spring. One day I found him walking around checking out his enclosure (he usually stays hidden until I dig him up to TRY and feed him) and he has come out EVERY DAY since. I get up and he is up before me, looking up at me. I throw him a worm and he eats EVERY TIME. Now my family members come to see the ferocity of the violence he inflicts on mealworms!
