We have a pet store out here called the Animal Supply House and the lady that helped me seemed to be informed about all the animals.

I think we need to have stickers made up to direct possible buyers of turtles to this site. We can all go stick um to all the turtle tanks at all the malls, cheesy pet shops, etc.

www.redearslider.com/onlinestore

your source for RES stickers, t-shirts, anti-pet store employee foam fingers. Sound like a plan, steve?

Hey guys! I just wanted to let everyone know that that pet kiosk I was complaining about earlier got shut down thanks to a very angry call from me and other concerned folks to the FDA! I was very pleased with this as I was sure a lot of you would be. One evil turtle dealer down and 21345245643345234 to go!

Seems like these places get shut down a lot.

I think the on-going problem is that being shut down in one place just means moving on to the next mall. Maybe one of these days mall admin will catch on...then again, I am thinking in the very distant future.

They probably don't care unless they don't pay their rent.

But shouldn't mall admin be worried that they might also be faced with lawsuits...for allowing the sale of illegal turts? If they have had to put someone out before, then they have to know that it is illegal. If I were going to sue over sickness etc, that is who I would go after. At least they are stationary...

A lot of people are uneducated about turtles, so they probably wouldn't know about any laws or anything.
