Clear Stuff Floating in Tank

I have recently been handed a new issue with my tank. There are clear/translucent things floating in the water. When they touch the glass, they stick to it and dry into a film that is almost impossible to scrape off. When I do finally remove it, it still leaves behind a slightly milky film. Does anyone know what this is and how to prevent? Thanks!

It's probably shed skin. Pretty common and it usually gets worse if the water is too warm. Best measure is to net it out when you see it. If it's dried, you can use a safety razor blade to scrape it off (if the tank is glass).

Thank you. I've ordered pellets with vitamins A and E actually listed on the label. I'm also going to keep trying green, leafy veggies. He never wants them, but I will keep trying.
