"Unwanted" turtles

I have a friend who is moving away near the end of summer and she has 2 juvenile turtles (unknown species) but cannot take them to where she is going. We live in Central California an I would like to know if there is a respectable facility I can take them? Or would I have to find someone to take them?

Check with the California Turtle & Tortoise Club. They have a lot of charters and she might have an easier time rehoming young turtles.
