While planting new flowers I discovered 15 hatchling turtles in the flower bed.
None are over 2 1/2 - 3" . I Need help with trying to find a local rescue operation/home. If I release them into the "lakes" in our lake front community here in Chandler, AZ. they will be trapped and destroyed as a non-native species. Any information will be appreciated. :?

Try also to contact the National Turtle and Tortoise Society in Phoenix
http://www.ntts-az.org Also try contacting any zoos or similar places for ideas/suggestions.

What kind of turtles are they? I'd like to try to email someone in AZ who knows a lot about turtles and may have some suggestions, but I need to know if they're RES or not.
