I wouldn't ship a turtle, period. There a few sites with directions on how. I think you would have a better time re-homing this turtle yourself. If you have a healthy hatchling and detailed care instructions, you might find a willing keeper.

That's great! It's very convinient that the lady is coming. I'm sure the turtle will go on to live a long and healthy life. Nice save and thanks for putting in all the effort that was needed!

I think she will if i ask nice enough, the lady seemed like she was very concerned for the turtle she asked me tons questions like if the turtle has a place that it can dry off and if the water temperature is right and etc.I trust they will take care of "penny" we named her yesterday  Im going to miss her though, ive gotten quite attached  lol.

The lady from turtle homes never got back to me so i filled out another application and several more in other adoption programs but infortunatley.Im sad to say that this morning when i woke up me and my girlfriend found "penny" hanging on to her dock with her eyes closed..we got closer and she didnt move, which is weird because she's usuallly terrified of anything that moves.I picked her up and nothing..seems like she passed away last night..i just dont know why,her water temperature was ok and she was eating and everything,we buried her in my girlfriends backyard in a small little jewelery box with a towel underneath her..poor thing :(
