Is there such a thing as a turtle toy? I was watching Duck scoot his rocks around last night and play hide and seek behind his plant, and I had a funny vision of him playing with a miniature beach ball. I guess he's having plenty of fun with his cave, rocks and plants, but I would still like to see what he'd do with a ball . . . too small to swallow of course.

toss a ping pong ball in. I dont give my res toys but i try to keep their environment interesting with plants/hides/fish, etc.

you're gonna want to shrink your avatar down a bit. Way too big.

I read on here to put a clean ping pong ball in with the turtle. It floats, and he can push it around. My turtle didn't like it, but others do. Also, someone on here suggested a mirror placed on the outside of the tank. I got a small round one, about 3-4" in diameter that has a stand and placed it next to the side of the tank. Gandalf loves to watch himself in it. He also tried to look around the sides and top of it for the 'other' turtle when I first got it. But now he's just content with floating or sitting in front of it. As for the river rock, they love to scoot it and dig around it, so good choice! Try putting a couple Rosey Red Minnows in with him/her. They love to chase them... and then eat them... and they are more nutritious than goldfish. Hope this helps! Let us know if you come up with any other ideas! :)

Thanks Shavannah. The mirror sounds like a great idea too! I'll let y'all know if I come of with anything new.

The new filter in Spot's tank (Rena XP3) is setup to make a waterfall and the falling water makes bubbles. It seems he loves to swim in the turbulence and bite the bubbles. Done that for hours today.

My turtle loves to swim in the waterfall bubbles too. It's comical.

Sometimes I'll throw a big cranberry in there. He can't eat it, but he tries and tries.

Fun for all!
