A mate just e-mailed this to me-don't know if you've seen this before. If you have, then I'm sorry, and delete it by all means lol.

The eight reasons why turtles are better than girl friends

1) Weekly maintence cost of turtles very rarely exceeds $5.
2) Turtles don't care if you look at other turtles.
3) Turtles know you're the boss-they don't go on about this "equal rights" rubbish.
4) You know turtles wont leave you.
5) Turtles don't moan that they're fat, then go and eat 20 pellets.
6) Turtles don't need a second tank to store extra shells.
7) Getting a turtle doesn't mean you get their mother as well.
8) Turtles wont run off with your best friend.

I blame those chick flicks. These days women want guys who listen to them, remember the birthdays, and will do things with them. Next they'll want us to remember anniversaries. Like, how whacked is that??

I'd be happy if a guy could remember when my football team plays.

Those 8 reasons are way cute...

even though I dont like women stereotypes... i dont have a closet full of shoes and purses, or LOVE to go shopping, or nag at my boyfriend about him watching sports or complain about toilet seats, or go the bathroom with other women... i could go on and on... and stereotypes about blondes? forget it.. I am a natural blonde, although I just dyed my hair jet black, but I am far from "and like oh my god like bubbly and stupid"

Here, here!!! I have been a tomboy my whole life...played with frogs, bugs, and anything else that moved. I climbed trees, played with Star Wars figures, watched horror movies, and played in dirt. I remember one time I got a Barbie doll for my B-day which promptly became the "enemy" & was strung up & taken prisoner by all the ugly monster figurines I had....!

This non-girly attitude has carried into my adulthood. I do like some shopping, but won't do it unless I have something specific I need to buy. I figure skate, which I can assure you is not a delicate sport (I have the bruises to prove it!). I am an Automotive Engineer which is intimidating for a lot of guys out there. But I am independant & don't need a man's money! My dad had a lot to do with this attitude....he just wanted to make sure that I would be able to take care of myself one day when he & my mom weren't around anymore & that I would never be trapped in an abusive situation like my grandmother (dad's mom) was. My college education was the best & most loving gift he ever gave me! :D

Can I just mention that as a rule, I HATE chick flicks??? Would much rather see something with action & a legitimate story line. Although, most guys I date won't go with me to the artsy (aka not-from-Hollywood) films I like to watch.....

Hey everyone... we have somethings in common... I am not a girly-girl... I actually don't get along with most girls b/c there is just too much drama with them... I would rather play in the mud or with lumber then do my nails...

The description that I would use for both my turtle and my girlfriend is a five letter word beginning with a b. they both cost me money, niether one has a particularly plesent disposition, they dont really like each other, and they will probably both out live me. ist life wonderfull:(
