You're welcome. When I buy aquatic plants, rinse them well and keep them in a small tank of clean water for a while before putting them in the tank. You could also lace the water with acriflavine to kill off any pests that might be on them, rinsing them well before you put them in the tank. (I've never done this but have read of people who have).

Ok i'll try and work on getting some live plants..untill them i'll give them some lettuce..I have to go look at that list to try and get something else to add variety.

You didn't respond to the position of their ..ummm what's the name again..Yea you know what i mean :-) and the thickness of their tails.

as others have said, fanning could be territorial issues/laying down the property line... my older turtle did this with the younger one right when i moved them to a bigger tank
