They are ! They were a bit stressed at first but after the first night they were pretty chill. I put some treats the first two days on the dock so they knew where to go to bask, and now they perfectly know their new tank ! They love to sleep on that large floating plant.
I wanted a large tank in case something comes up and I can't build my pond as soon as I wanted to. :)

What material did you use for the dock?

Plexiglass and silicone aquarium. The angled sticks are in soft PVC, and the rug is a bathroom rug you find in any home depot.

Where's the rug used? Can't tell from my phone. Silicone doesn't stick well to smooth plastics, you'd want to keep an eye on that.

Yep, definitely ^^

The rug is what's on the plexiglass, the thing with rock design on it.

Oh, OK. You probably don't want it to have contact with water though. Those things have a lot of chemicals added for durability. Maybe something like bath tub liners might hold as well?

I verified everything before buying it ;) I checked things with the seller and also in the store catalogue. I call it bathroom rug but tbh I'm not really sure what it is ahah !
I called it that way cause it looks like it, but I actually bought it like you buy fabric. You buy it by the meter and the guy comes and cut it for you. I litteraly have no idea why would someone buy this.

Is it okay if I post other pictures of my turtles ? :msgreen:
Sometimes I take them out of the tank and we go on a stroll in the garden

And this is Shelldon taking a nap, like one or two months ago, in its old tank

thank you steve ! they were in a good mood this day, but it's starting to get difficult to watch these two at the same time. I might buy a portable plastic fence soon ahah !

Yeah, I learned the hard way that they are fast. Plus, some like to dig down and bury themselves. Once it took a few hours to find my female RES buried under some rocks... I still have no idea how she got there.

I found a picture of the group of hatchlings my RES came from, a year ago ! Found it on my local pet store facebook page. Shellby and Shelldon are somewhere in that pic :) So small !! If only they had more pictures, I'm sure I would be able to recognise Shellby, since her shell has a very distinct, irregular pattern. :)
