I have pretty much been lurking ever since we decided to take on a pair of red eared sliders a few weeks ago. We have been gathering the items needed for their home and they are now here and it is so cool. A friend of my wife has been keeping turtles for over a couple of decades and her female slider finally slipped a clutch of eggs to hatching. So she asked my wife if we would possibly take a pair (why she thought of us I have no clue) but I have had some nice fish tanks in the past and thought that this would be cool after reading up extensively on the realities of them. So here is a picture of their new home, a 125 gallon with the unusual measurements of 48x18x33. They seem very happy, they swim a lot, eat everything they can and bask a lot. One them really likes to go after the few danios in the tank with them.

Welcome to the site! That's a very nice looking tank! Be careful with that stack of rocks, RES like to squeeze and explore very tight areas.
