Yeah he seems to like it a lot better than the river rocks we had in there before, and he likes to make mounds with it to sleep behind as well :)

Blue sand??? That's about the coolest thing I've ever heard of. I didn't know it existed. Where do you get it?

Mr. T looks is very handsome. What kind of plants are those?

It's actually a lot easier than you might think. I was overwhelmed and nervous about trying it, but ... then I just started putting things that I had together and securing it and VOILA! ATBA.
Totally worth the effort.

Just build it OFF the tank first. I learned that lesson the hard way when I had to disassemble things to get it off twice.

What material did you use for platform? I see the egg crate material you used for the cover, but I'm wondering what you used to be able to angle it down like that. Thanks

I actually used acrylic for that part too. I angled it how I wanted it and set it up so it would stay like that and I just used some thick "cement" stuff that came in a tube, to hold it together. Only had to sit there for a few minutes while it initially dried but then it was completely dry and safe 24 hours later. I put shelf liner over it (and a little extra piece on the corners) so he could climb up it. If you have any more questions feel free to ask :)
