I see BigAls has their Fluval FX5 on sale for $50 off, for a price of $249.99.

I usually am not to fond of the Canadian Big Al's site, but that's a pretty good deal.
I've been watching ebay for the last month, and most FX5s are going for no less than $170 + $65 shipping US.

I'm thinking about picking one up for myself

Um, yeah. This is post is like 3 months old, and the sale is long over. Right now bigalsonline doesn't even have any FX5s in stock.
